In memory of Shock G / Humpty Hump, Zazu's uncle—Gregory Jacobs

From Eco-Spiritual Intelligence to Practicing Gratitude as We Collectively Transform Our Daily Complicity

Expanding our collective experience of April 22nd, Earth Day, the day that Shock G, Zazu’s uncle, passed on from this Earth. It’s been four years since my brother-in-law, Digital Underground’s Humpty Hump died (August 25, 1963 – April 22, 2021).

In the midst of our electronically stupefied worlds, Greg and I were planning on incorporating his music into the stage and screen adaptations of Zazu Dreams: Between the Scarab and the Dung Beetle, A Cautionary Fable for the Anthropocene Era. His ethical and musical passions would have been part of my current three-month climate justice performance tour (see line up below).

In addition to these in-person public events, I am offering collective empowerment workshops at schools, science centers, domestic violence shelters, free stores, creative reuse centers, and anarchic-seed collectives.
